To promote and develop educational, research and service activities in gerontology through The University of Arizona. The program seeks to provide leadership in the identification and response to emerging needs of aging and elderly citizens in Arizona. And primarily, our goal is to develop professional gerontologists with specialized expertise who will become advocates for older adults.
Gerontology is committed to the development of interdisciplinary activities in the development of educational programs; the exchange of scholarly/creative thought among faculty, students and professionals; the development of scientific investigations within our institution and collaboratively with peer academic institutions in this and other countries.
